I have pens with white ink. The best are the uni signo 0.7 and the posca pen. However, they are unreliable if all one wants is to make a small highlight.

For quick details I find it better to use paint and a brush. A few more tools, but it’s worth it to not mess up. Guoashe always works, but just ordinary watercolor or acrylic is good too.
