I was frustrated by not being able to draw faces, so I made quick sketches in the mornings for practice for about two months. I think there was some progress 🙂

For the exercises i followed the instructions that Betty Edwards gives in her book “Drawing with the right side of the brain”. I made a small routine sheet that I taped to the back of my phone, a step my step instruction. It is shown in the end of the video.
I drew faces I saw in magazines laying around. I find it easier to practice on magazine pictures than people I know. When I do, I’m not proficient enough (yet!) to capture their beings, reflect how they ‘are’. Each face-drawing session has taken 5 – 15 mins – short enough to be able to squeeze in before going off to daily duties.
