I have painted flowers using only a dagger brush and a rigger. It has been an exercise in gentleness.

These three, a carnation, a morning glory, and a larkspur, are the ones I enjoyed painting the most:



The reason I enjoyed these particularly was that they were were both fun to paint and that I liked the result of the painting.
In this exercise I followed the instructions on YouTube from the magnificent Kristy Rice. I love how she shows how to handle a dagger brush and how to let the pigments mix on the paper.
